Little birdy told me..

Birds just make me smile. Seeing a little beak can't help but make you grin. When ya hear a tweet tweet it just makes the day real. I love a "tweet", a "chirp",a"coo" and especially a "whoo whoo". I can remember when growing up in the Blue Ridge mountains waking up to a "bob white". Birds are just one of God's many wonderful and amazing creations!

Ode to my son- Dinosaurs!!

My widdle man is all about some dinos. Of course you know kids go through stages. First it was elmo, then firetrucks, trains, and now currently and most loudly dinos! he roars all day long. And by all day I do mean all day. He crawls on his hands and knees growling at his widdle sis and even swings his legs around together as his "tail". Its cute yes but after the hundredth growl you're ready for anything but a roar!

Tiger

My Grandmother-in-law is a tiger lover. She in fact is an all animal lover. I can see why she is most fond of the tiger. There is something strong, and alluring about the tiger. I love the stripe pattern of the dark black streaked against the vibrant fire orange. the tiger is an apex predator and an obligate carnivore. Wow?! HOw'd you like to be described like that?! MeeeeeeoOOW!! Totally fierce! Pun intended.

Flats

Why buy new imitations when you can go OG ?! yes it is true flats are baaaack!! Etsy has a bunch of sellers that have some great ones to pick from!! If I had known this I would have kept all mine. err.. asked my mom to keep all mine. I am a child of the 80's so I would have some rad ones saved up by now!!My fondest ones are my blue flat jelly sandles (had them in red too)!! (see picture below) They were my cousins first. That's her wearing them and me at the tail. ha. She was older, cooler, had a dad that is a doctor, and grew up in Baltimore. I was two years younger and grew up in the mountains of Virginia. Trust me the stores were not as cool as the ones at the Inner Harbor in Balti.
